A Kannada blue film titled Romanchana had made it to the theatres on 25th of this month. It is said that this film was completed about six years ago. However, Karnataka Producers' Association stopped it from releasing following complains.
With the success of 16 – 60 film starring Shakeela, many such films are in the making. But the Ramachana has very ugly and unpublishable pictures. Sources said that these steamy scenes may not be there now but bits of it would be shown in some theatres. Now, KFCC should uphold the moral values of the common man by keeping an eye on these kind of films.

Cinemax - the pioneers in redefining cinema viewing in India hosted the premiere of Vishal Bharadwajs BLUE UMBRELLA at Cinemax, Versova on Wednesday, August 8, 2007. The premiere was a star-studded evening with the movie's star cast, production and directorial teams with key personalities from the film industry attending the grand premiere.
BLUE UMBRELLA recently won National Award for Best Children's Film. This film has done the rounds of festivals (Goa, Korea, Germany). Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Devang Sampat, Vice President, Marketing & Programming, CINEMAX, said, "CINEMAX, has the reputation of hosting premiers of blockbusters so we are delighted to premiere the most awaited movie BLUE UMBRELLA."
A new research says that all people with blue eyes can trace their ancestry back to one person, around 10,000 years ago.
Top actors Aishwarya Rai and Angelina Jolie may have common ancestors. If a research is to be believed all people with blue eyes can trace their ancestry back to one person who probably lived about 10,000 years ago in the Black Sea region.
Scientists studying the genetics of eye colour at the University of Copenhagen found that more than 99.5 per cent of blue-eyed people who volunteered to have their DNA analysed have the same tiny mutation in the gene that determines the colour of the iris.
Professor Hans Eiberg of the university said he has analysed the DNA of about 800 people with blue eyes, ranging from fair-skinned, blond-haired Scandinavians to dark-skinned, blue-eyed people living in Turkey and Jordan.
"All of them, apart from possibly one exception, had exactly the same DNA sequence in the region of the OCA2 gene. This to me indicates very strongly that there must have been a single, common ancestor of all these people," he said.
The study reported in the journal Human Genetics indicates that the mutation originated in just one person who became the ancestor of all subsequent people in the world with blue eyes.
"From this we can conclude that all blue-eyed individuals are linked to the same ancestor. They have all inherited the same switch at exactly the same spot in their DNA," Professor Eiberg was quoted as saying by The Independent daily of Britain on Thursday.
Even though the scientists are unable to pinpoint the exact date when the mutation occurred, evidences suggested it probably arose about 10,000 years ago when there was a rapid expansion of the human population in Europe as a result of the spread of agriculture from the Middle East.
Bollywood Hot News :Hold the horse of your imagination as it is only a film titled Blue. And Lara dutta, Akshay Kumar and Sanjay dutt are going to act in this film.
It could also be called as a mini casting coup, as the three stars are teaming up for the production house Shree Astavinayak’s big budget film Blue.
Some of the reliable sources tell us that this cast may also be joined by Priyanka chopra . If this is going to be true, it would mark that coming together of Akshay and Priyanka after a long gap, since the two stars gave up working with each other following the rumors of their alleged affair. Blue would be Akshay’s third film with Lara, and it is already known that Akhi is now the king of bollywood with three Consistent hits in a row.
Lara dutta whose acting in Partner was appreciated by all, is delighted to be associated with a big banner.
Sanjay dutt who recently married his Girlfriend Manyata who was a Item Girl of Bollywood some time back is also looking forward for this movie to begin its shooting schedule. He is presently completing his work for the film titled EMI.
The movie will be directed by a foreign AD film maker named Tony.
It is learnt that Akshay , Lara, and Sanjay had a meeting with Tony to get to know him and discuss the film’s final draft. The three actors were apparently impressed by Tony’s vision.
BLUE is likely to go on the floors in the second half of 2008 and the budget of the film is rumored to be a whooping 100 crore investment.
2008/2/6 0:23:07 This is nothing new or surprising. We have known all along about the fake babas and swamyjis'. Many fake babas have been exposed in the past but people continue to patronize them.
A swamyji has now been found to be dealing in fake currency, drugs, blue films and what not. He had been doing all this for 15 years now, but the police had no clue about it all these years. The joke is that this swamyji has high-ranking officials like IAS and IPS officers as his disciples!
The police stumbled upon this by accident. The police nabbed a gang of thieves involved in stealing some artifacts from the state museum. During the interrogation, the thieves disclosed that they had also robbed the ashram of a swamyji and decamped with four lakhs cash. But to their horror, they found that it was actually fake currency.
The police then raided the swamyji's den in Hyderabad and recovered some more fake currency, Blue film CDs and drugs. The name of the swamyji is 'Nityannanda Swamy'. He has a big ashram at Lakkavaram near Jangareddygudem in west Godavari district and also another ashram on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The swamyji in question is now absconding.
2006/12/23 4:27:31 Pankaj Kapur has an interesting role to play in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next release ‘The Blue Umbrella’. After working with the enterprising director/composer in ‘Maqbool’, Pankaj Kapur is said to have given another terrific performance in The Blue Umbrella’.
In the film, he plays the role of Nandkishore Khatri is an obstinate, pickle-loving 60 year-old-man who owns a tea stall in a village. He is like a child who is constantly at war with village kids and invariably tries to fleece off their little possessions.
That being said, he is also a shrewd businessman, who knows the value of each rupee. He often cuts deals with the villagers, selling biscuits and toffees on credit in order to get what he wants. Although he has no real family to speak of, he has an affinity to the people of the village and treats them as his surrogate family.
What he lacks in the way of education, he makes up for with his ability to charm the locals and foreign tourists. As soon as the blue umbrella crosses Nandu’s eyes, his desire for it and his constant need to be the centre of attention in the village, overtakes him and clouds his rational thinking.
To possess it, he is willing to risk almost anything.
Children's film "The Blue Umbrella" has been made tax-free in the capital.
"Delhi Government has decided to waive off the entrainment tax on the film with effect from August 30," a senior official told.
He said a decision to exempt the Vishal Bharadwaj directed movie from tax was taken as it promotes humane values among children.
The film starring Pankaj Kapoor is based on Ruskin Bond's novella "The Blue Umbrella."
The state government is also planning to make "Chak De India" free from entertainment tax. A Delhi Government film review committee has sent its recommendations to make the Shahrukh Khan-starrer exempted from tax.
"The review committee members were of the opinion that the film promotes patriotism, plight of sports particularly hockey in the country and girl's participation in sports and how they are biased," the official said.
Bad news for all Shakeela fans. The numero uno of the Blue Film industry in Kerala says that she has finally bid goodbye to Blue Films. She has done many films in Malayalam and at one time even gave Mammooty and Mohan Lal a tough time. It is even alleged that she was driven away from the Malayalam film industry by these tow veteran actors.
Shakeela has done a record 70 films in a year. Her films are so hot and bold that as many as 26 films are currently held up with the censors.
She made a switchover to family roles in Telugu. The superstar of porn in India has finally bid goodbye to adult films. She says that part of the credit for her decision should go to Mohan Lal and Mammooty for explaining to her that it is wrong to do such kind of movies. Another reason is that Shakeela is now happily married to producer Bose.
Every Bollywood star is known to be superstitious. Take the case of Big B and his family. Before the Abhiash wedding, Amitabh took the couple to many temples to offer prayers and even performed several rituals to make sure that Abhishek and Aishwarya would enjoy marital bliss forever!
Additionally, he wears several rings recommended by his astrologers for good fortune after he went through rough patches in his life.
Now Sanjay Dutt confirms his belief in superstitions by wearing a blue shirt with blue jeans everyday and visiting temples to pray as his notorious 1993 bomb blasts case comes up for the final verdict.
"He was told by an astrologer to wear this combination on all important occasions and he follows this instruction," says a friend in Bombay Times, "He has taken a break from his shoots and is visiting temples again to pray."
If you are wondering what makes the men in CASH different from the rest of their ilk, you know who deserves all the compliments. He is stylist Perry Patel who is responsible for giving unique hair color to all the guys in the film.
So while Ajay sports a blond-brown shaggy cut, Zayed has dark blue streaks while Riteish has a blond-black streaked look. In fact as per sources, so impressed was Ajay Devgan with Perry's work that he instantly roped him in for his directorial debut U, ME AUR HUM.
Perry is also excited about giving a unique look to Zayed since as per him; an electric blue shade on hair would be the first time ever in Indian cinema. He wasn't as successful though with Suneil Shetty since he couldn't apply color on his hair. Nevertheless, he was at least successful in using some gel for his eyebrows.
The Unforgettable Tour by the Bachchans is in trouble again. Not so long ago, Akshay Kumar, who was supposed to be a part of the tour, opted out. The already delayed extravaganza now has a new problem – Lara Dutta too has walked out of The Unforgettable Tour.
Says a source, “Lara has a knee problem and cannot go for the tour with the Bachchans. She is quite disappointed.”When contacted, Lara confirms her exit from the tour. She says, “I have injured my knee and my doctors have asked me not to strain it further.”
She adds, “I am doing a film called Blue, which has a lot of action scenes. Hence, I need to get back to my feet as soon as possible. Going for the tour and then coming back to shoot for Blue will only aggravate my knee problem. I do regret withdrawing from The Unforgettable Tour.”
Akki and Lara were slated to be a part of the entourage along with Bipasha Basu, Riteish Deshmukh, Shiamak Davar and the Bachchans (Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya) for the tour.

It was a colourful and heartfelt send off for the Indian cricket team embarking on their world cup mission, as superstar Shah Rukh Khan voiced the feelings of scores of countrymen, advising the men in blue to "do your best and leave the rest."
"I don’t know a lot about sports, but I do know that it is not about winning and losing. It is about the belief that every sportsman has and the effort they put in. I just want to say to Rahul (Dravid) and the boys, that they should just do their best and leave the rest," Khan told almost the entire cricket team, including captain Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar, at a function here.
The function was organised by soft drinks major Pepsi on the eve of the team's departure for the West Indies.
As some of India's top artistes including Shankar Mahadevan and Adnan Sami performed some foot-tapping numbers for the scores of fans gathered at the venue, actress Priyanka Chopra also put in an appearance to wish the team all the success in Caribbean.
Standing next to Dravid on stage, Khan even apologised to the team on behalf of the media, saying, "Sometimes we may have said rude and demeaning things about the team when they lose, but let me tell you that we take it all back. We love you and we hope you bring back the World Cup."
Looking dapper in a blue India T-shirt, Dravid thanked Khan and scores of fans for the wishes saying, "These wishes of a billion people will definitely help us in the world cup when we go out and do our best."
Other members of the Indian team tapping and moving to the beats of the songs were Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Tendulkar and S Sreesanth.

Yet, it remains ever fresh subject and keep inspiring one and all. All the films made with this subject Ramayana reveals something new, moral to us every time it comes before us. Blue Sky Cinemas management is really excited to be part of this film. They said “We already overwhelmed with enquires from different locations even before closing this movie. Australia is already closed and several other locations were under negations! Thanks to our regular exhibitors for their extensive support. We thank the producer Mr. Yelamanchili Sai babu garu for giving this opportunity. Special thanks to Navabharath Balaji garu who really helped to make this happen.”
If Akshay Kumar has his way, then Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision's Blue will star Priyanka Chopra and the actor together after 2005's Waqt. The film will also see Akshay coming together with actor Sanjay Dutt for the film. Lara Dutta is expected to be the other heroine for the movie.
According to reports doing the round, Akshay has been asking producers to rope in Priyanka as a leading lady opposite him. Sources say that the actor wants someone who is athletic and can do action scenes well for Blue. Priyanka has proved that she can do that. If everything works out well, the pairing for the film should be Akshay-Priyanka and Sanju-Lara. The last time the two worked together was for Vipul Shah's Waqt.
After the release of Waqt, there were reports that Akshay's wife Twinkle had forbidden him from signing any films with Priyanka, and that explains the two year gap for this hit jodi. Several producers like Sajid Nadiadwala were very keen to cast them together but it did not work out. However, things seem to have changed now since Akshay is the one showing interest in the pairing.
The music of Ajay Devgan's directorial debut U Me Aur Hum was released yesterday and present on the occasion was the entire cast and crew of the film including the actor himself, wife Kajol, sister-in-law Tanishaa, and Ajay's close friends, Kumar Mangat, Rajkumar Santoshi, Anees Bazmee, Rohit Shetty etc.
However, the star attraction of the event was a cute little girl dressed in a pink top and blue jeans with matching pink sandals. She was none other than Nysa, Ajay and Kajol's adorable daughter who has not been seen much in public.
Surely, she must have been thrilled to be a part of this event as it was none other than her mom Kajol and dad Ajay who were hosting the do. A special family get-together this!
2010/12/28 16:22:39 Homely girl Sneha came into media focus for wrong reasons these days. Kollywood media has sniffed some thing spicy out of her visit to a private function held in Chennai, few weeks back. Kollywood media states that she was mobbed while she was coming out of the function.
Out of huge gathering who thronged the area to have shake hand with her, one said to be squeezed her hips and disappeared in the crowds in no time. When, she shouted loudly to catch the man wearing the blue shirt, people around caught him and beaten him black and blue. But, then she finds that he is not the one who squeezed her precious assets. He was accompanied by his wife and happens to be there in the location and unfortunately become the target. Though, Sneha asked him to excuse her, his wife who is very angry with her, threatened Sneha of filing a police complaint against her. However, somehow the matter was hushed up by the organizers of the function, but, the squeezing news remains intact and live in media.
When, Sneha came to know about the circulating gossips about her hip squeeze issue she was quite angry over media for its wide circulation of the incident. But, later she told them that, there was no such thing happened and whatever was just a misinterpretation by the media and nothing else.
Pet owners too responsible for rabies spread: Amala
2011/6/18 19:07:28 Yesteryear’s film actress and founder member of Blue Cross Society Amala Akkineni on Saturday condemned the owners of pet dogs, holding them responsible for letting loose their animals and the resultant spread of rabies among the victims.
“The pet dogs were not given the anti-rabies vaccines though the medicine was abundantly available by the government,” she told media persons at the Secretariat on Saturday.
The Blue Cross itself received complaints of six rabies deaths due to the pet dogs, the former actress said, while defending the existence and taming of dogs.
When asked whether she had more affinity for dogs than the fellow humans, Amala Akkineni clarified that nobody could achieve anything by killing the animals and emphasised on the need to take precautionary measures in advance.
Her opposition to the birth control programme and cruel killings of dogs was made known specifically.
“It is illegal to kill stray dogs,” the former actress said, stating that even the World Health Organization was against such an exercise.
“There have been no reports of any deaths due to rabies in Chennai and Jaipur,” she informed, conveying a message that the governments there took all precautionary steps to prevent spread of the dreaded disease.
Amala Akkineni had come to the Secretariat armed with number of proposals before the government, to safeguard the canines who are being blamed for the spread of the disease in the state and the resultant deaths.
Mass vaccination of dogs was suggested to prevent deaths in the first place, besides imposition of certain rules and regulations strictly for maintaining pet dogs.
She suggested dog squads and special nets for catching the stray dogs, besides demanding that after sterilization operations, the canines must be released back to the place of their capture.
Amala Akkineni quoted the World Health Organization as defending the lives of the dogs.
Earlier, the former actress met Chief Secretary S V Prasad and submitted her proposals. She was accompanied by Chairman, Animal Welfare Board of India, Major General (Retired) RR Kharb.(INN)
