2007/12/28 16:28:08 Colours Swathi as she is popularly known is now moving around with Manchu Manoj. She and Manoj are painting the town pink, according to some film buffs in the industry. Manoj does not have any big film in hand and Swathi is also on the lookout for big roles. She hopes that Manoj will land her a big role in one of his home productions. Swathi played a prominent role in the Venkatesh and Trisha film ‘Adavaari Maatalaku Ardhaale Veerule’.
2011/1/8 1:01:39 The third Telugu girl in the Tollywood Colors Swathi is also experiencing the same fate of other two Telugu girls Gaddhe Sindhura and Bindhu Madhavi. Despite proving her talent like the other two, she too has been ignored by Telugu film industry.
During the last year she has played only ‘Ashta Chemma’ and no other film. The other two films maverick RGV’s ‘KSD Appala Raju’ and Sumanth’s ‘Golkonda high school’ will be credited into her 2011 account.
When, asked whether she is feeling bad for being ignored by the industry, she replied “No, it’s the way industry runs and we have to accept this fact. One can not expect to order our traditional food ‘Pulihora’ while sitting in a star hotel. The same way our producers always plan to introduce new beauties to industry to delight the audiences, because they very well know that, audiences do not want a ‘Pulihora type homely girl’ to entertain them. It applies in my case also. While, our producers stare at north, Kollywood producers are staring at us. That’s why I am getting number of offers in Tamil films. I can be seen more in Tamil films than in Telugu only because of this logic only.”
“However, I got good offers in the last year from ‘Appalaraju’ and ‘Golkonda HS’. I am confident that, both these movies will offer me name and fame. When, I came to know that, film ‘GKHS’ is based upon the novel ‘the man within,’ I grab that book and completed it with in days. It’s so amazing that, I become very desperate to act in that film. And ‘Applaraju’ is very interesting subject. Varma sir told me not to chatter about the details of the film until it is released. So, that’s all what I can say about that film right now. Apart from these two films I have done no other films in the last year, because I thought that, instead of doing all the films that comes in my way and spoiling my film career, I rather act in selective films. That’s also another reason for not appearing in several films in the last year.”
She condemns the gossips about her using pads inside her under garments in the film ‘Golkonda high school’ to enhance the shapes of her tender assets to have a matured woman looks of a school teacher in that film. She said “After all what is wrong with my present shapes and figure? I need not to wear any artificial items to enhance my shapes. I am in perfect shape and think fits exactly for a glamour girl role,” replied Swathi with a little bit harsh tone.
