Looks like it is complaint season and Malavika is topping the list of complainants at the Nadigar Sangam. After lodging a complaint against the producers of Sabari for her pay settlement, she has approached the Nadigar Sangam again – this time for the misdemeanor of S.J. Surya on the sets of Vyabari.
Surya – as it seems – has shown some of his moves during the filming of a romantic sequence. However, Malavika warned him to refrain from his acts, which fell on deaf ears. When the situation went out of control Malavika stormed out of the sets and knocked the doors of Nadigar Sangam for justice.
Nadigar Sangam came for her rescue and based on Malavika’s demands, Surya apologized for his behavior, which brought her back to the sets of Vyabari.
If you might remember, Malavika went to the extent of slapping her co-star Rajendra Prasad in Telugu for his misbehavior on the sets of a Telugu movie. Now that is how kids from military households are brought up, agree with us?
On April 4, a hunger strike was held by Tamil cinema condemning Karnataka. There was an order for all actors and technicians to participate in it.
But actors Karthick, Arya, Asin, Simran, Navya Nair, Gopika, Padmapriya, Nila and directors Balachander, Bharatiraja, Mani Ratnam, Shankar and many more did not take part in it. In a meeting held on April 8, it was discussed about taking action against them. The South India Nadigar Sangam, Tamil Film Producers' Council, Directors Association and other associations took part in it. It was decided that those who did not take part in the hunger strike should explain within15 days, otherwise action would be taken against them. The 15-day notice period ends today.
Speaking about it, the General Secretary of Nadigar Sangam, Radha Ravi said:
More than15 actors did not participate in the hunger strike. They have all written letters of explanation. But Asin has not done so. Some actors who are not members of the Association did not participate in the strike. We can't take action against them. But they all have sent letters of explanation to us. However, Asin being a member has not sent any letter. Therefore it is right to take action against her.
A decision will be taken after a discussion with all associations. The President of Nadigar Sangam, Sarath Kumar is out of station and as such the meeting will be held on his return.”
There is a likelihood that Asin will be banned from acting in Tamil films.
Dhanush starrer Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram was said to hit the silver screen on the 26th of this month. But as per the latest filmi buzz, there is some kind of a financial tussle between the producer and the hero which may defer the release of the film. When this matter was probed it was revealed that Dhanush had complained
Dhanush to the Nadigar Sangam about his pending payment for the film from the producer K.R. Hectic parleys between the actor and producer resulted in the latter agreeing to pay the balance amount within a decent time frame.
Meanwhile Kollywood circles began talking about K R releasing the film on the said date making use of the services of a dubbing artist for Dhanush in the film. When this issue was broached with KR, he replied, “I cannot give the amount that Dhanush thinks about in his dreams. But all the same I agreed for it due to the counsel from Nadigar Sangam. However when Dhanush was so insistent that I hand over the money immediately I had no other choice other than to opt for a dubbing artist.”
It was also said that the dubbing artist in question was temporarily suspended from their union. In the meantime when Dhanush was quizzed on this, he stated that there indeed was a financial issue between him and the producer which he thought was amicably settled with the intervention of Sarath Kumar, president of Nadigar Sangam. He too heard about a dubbing artist speaking for him but was quick to add that the voice of anybody other than him is sure to sound discordant.

Therefore, the court once again served them summons to attend the court on 23rd of November in person without fail. Since, the court opines that Nayanatara and Prabhudeva may again abscond from the case, it also sent notices to Nadigar Sangam (Kollywood Artists Union) asking it to forward the summons to Nayan and Prabhudeva. The Sangam forwards the notices to Nayanatara’s permanent address in Kochi in Kerala and to Prabhudeva’s house at Alwarpet in Chennai. But, registered letters were returned with a note ‘Addressee not found.’
If, Nayanatara and Prabhudeva really want to get married they should understood that, first they have to attend the court otherwise it will virtually drag them to court by using non bail able warrants in its next session.
Just a few days ago, hot pictures and video clippings of supposedly Trisha, published on the internet rocked the city. Now, after nearly a week, some sexy pictures of girls who seem to be Namitha and Malavika are being circulated through MMS on mobile phones. In these pictures, a female look-alike of actress Namitha is shown having sex with a male model. This scene runs on for nearly 2 minutes. In another MMS, a topless girl who looks similar to Malavika has been shown kissing a man. These videos are now available on some websites as well.
When asked about such videos, Namitha told us that these are all fake images involving a lot of graphic work, and have been done in cheap taste. "I will go to the police if necessary to prevent the broadcast of these fake videos. The culprits behind these videos think that actresses are willing to compromise on anything. This is a wrong assumption. Every actress has self respect and individuality like any common family girl", Namitha said.
As Malavika is currently on her honeymoon in South Africa, her manager Munusamy came forward to give the required explanation about the picture. "Malavika' is a bold lady. 2011/8/17 13:13:02 Despite the presence of multiple agencies looking after the welfare of minorities in the country, there are hundreds of minorities whose complaints remain unanswered.
In a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, the Minister of State for Minority Affairs Vincent H. Pala, informed the House that the National Commission for Minorities (NCM) received 2,268 complaints during 2009-10 and during 2010-11 the number was 2,378. However, he did not specify how many of those complaints have been addressed.
The delay in addressing the complaints filed by minorities could be due to various reasons. However, the statistics show that the complaints are not being attended to as they should have been. According to the Minister, in the current year from 1st April to 31st July, the Commission has received 942 complaints.
Of them, 150 have been closed and 220 have been forwarded to concerned authorities and closed. However, another 196 have been forwarded to concerned authorities for enquiry and reports. But as many as 376 complaints are still under the process for action. This shows that nearly 40 per cent complaints received in the last four month are still under the process for action. (INN)
Kollywood’s protest on Karnataka’s stance on the Hogenakkal issue, witnessed a huge turnout. Almost all the biggies in Kollywood, including Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan made it to the event, except a few who could not make it due to short notice and prior commitments. Although the absentees were asked to give an explanation for their absence, Asin seemed to have ignored it.
Having given the actress enough notice, the Nadigar Sangam planned to initiate action against her. Meanwhile, the Malabar beauty has sent a letter of apology stating that her commitment as the brand ambassador of a popular brand forbade her from partaking in the fasting. She also gave an assurance that this would not happen in future. With the letter arriving on time the actress seems to have emerged unscathed this time!

Apollo Hospitals Chairman Pratap C Reddy who arrived with family to Tirupati on Thursday, after offering prayers to Lord Balaji has told the media that they will announce the engagement date of his grand daughter Upasana with Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Tej within two days. “Both our families feel quite happy with this development, which I think is a good sign for good culture.”
“Our hospitals are developing with the blessings of Lord Balaji. So, we have arranged an emergency wing on Tirumala to save the lives of devotees who get heart attacks here. So far, we have given free treatment to 1066 heart patients through this branch. I am quite worried about the growing heart complaints in our country. So far, five out of 100 are getting heart complaints, and our research reveals that now it may grow to 10% in near future. This is an alarming situation for us. I am extremely worried to see our younger generation is also becoming victims to heart problems. I am planning to launch a campaigning program to educate the people on how to avoid the heart complaints by taking preventive steps,” said Pratap V Reddy.
