KCR’s dreams to have a own media net work to highlight his and his party activities is finally taking shape with launching of ‘Namaste Telangana’ news paper very soon. It is learnt that, the trial runs were completed successfully and the news paper may hit the Telangana region any time from now. However, his plan to launch a TV Channel is still under process and may take few more months for launching.
KCR who turns a lyricist for film 'Jai Bolo Telangana' may occupy the editor's chair of his newly launching news paper.
2010/10/10 18:17:56 TRS president KCR has been telling the people that he is going to launch a News Paper and a TV Channel, especially for Telangana region. This new media net work will cover the latest news about his ongoing agitation and will fight out the Andhra politicians. But, due to unknown reasons his idea couldn’t materialise until now.
However, it’s learnt that KCR and his followers who fears obstructions from Andhra politicians, maintains utmost secrecy about their ongoing preparations for launching of their News Paper. According to sources, they have completed all the works and all set to release the first edition of the news paper in the coming December. They believe that the coming December will be a crucial period for TRS, because of the dead line they set to Union Government to declare the statehood for Telangana. If, the Government goes against Telangana, then TRS will re start its agitations. So, if the news paper is launched by the time, then it will be handy and will strengthen the hands of KCR and his party. It’s learnt that he has named his news paper as ‘Namaste Telangana.’
TRS plans to launch the news paper first and then go into the technicalities of launching the News Channel, which needs huge resources to operate. KCR hopes that there will be good response for his news paper, since it carries spicy news garnished with his powerful abusive and vulgar language against Andhra politicians, which he strongly believes that may satisfy the ego of Telangana people.
KCR also believes that his news media will certainly going to be very helpful to project himself as a great Telangana leader and to high light his activities in a higher scale. At the same time the news paper will also helps him to sling mud against his rival parties TDP and Congress which pose threat to him in Telangana region. If he could chase out those two political parties out of Telangana before the next general elections, there will be no competitor for him and to his party.
It’s learnt that, KCR is inspired by the success of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy owned Sakshi News Channel and News Paper, which strengthens his hands and projects him as a perfect successor of his father late YS Rajashekar Reddy.
After sparring bitterly for nearly two decades, Y S Rajashekar Reddy and Chandra Babu Naidu now seem to be ready to pass on the baton to their sons.
Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is ready to launch a daily newspaper – Saakshi and also a news channel Indira TV. Work in the daily is in full swing and the paper is likely to hit the newsstands on Sankranthi.
Meanwhile Chandara Babu Naidu is stated to be toying with the idea of starting a daily newspaper. The paper will basically back the ideals of the TDP. Bur Babu also wants to make the paper into a full –fledged daily and not as the mouthpiece of the TDP.
Work on the paper is expected to commence from March 2008. The paper has been tentatively titled ‘Aksharam’. Babu wants to make his son Lokesh as the MS. So will it now be Saakshi Jagan vs. Aksharam Lokesh?
2007/7/23 11:59:58 The media war in Andhra Pradesh is hotting up with a slew of newspapers and news channels ready to be launched. The first off the block will be Surya a Telugu daily. N Surya Prakasa Rao is starting the paper. He comes from the film industry and is also involved in the real estates business.
He is considered to be a loyalist of the chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy and the paper is is seen as a platform to counter the anti-congress propaganda of papers like Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi. The new paper will come out in the second week of august and will be launched simultaneously with 14 editions.
2011/3/2 18:57:50 Some times even gossips and rumors comes a great help to the film stars especially who are fast fading away from the scenes. Such stars grab the opportunity to hit the news head lines making some sort of statement or threatening the gossipmongers with some action against them.
Parvathi Milton, who is in the same situation, has come to media focus by declaring that she is going to take legal action against the English daily which has published some juicy gossips about her affair with Tollywood film director. It’s learnt that, she has put a dead line to the news paper to tender unconditional apologies to her before next Wednesday, otherwise she is going to drag the news paper management to courts.
2007/2/2 14:25:21 'Vanakkam Talaiva' directed by Shakti Paramesh with Satyaraj, Abbas and Pranathi in the lead is being dubbed into Telugu by Soma Vijay Prakash as 'Namaste Guruva' on the banner of Vijay Entertainments.

Dialogue writer Praveen Chakravarthy says, 'The story deals with a couple who were in love and the consequences due to the entry of a negative character between them. The entire film is quite interesting.' Nazar, Vivek, Swapna, Babylonia and Abhinayasri are in the cast. The eagerly awaited Telugu daily Saakshi finally hit the new stands yesterday. The paper comes with all colour pages and is priced at rupees 2. The paper has come as a sort of disappointment to many people. YS Jagan promised to come up with a world class daily. The paper is of high quality in terms of newsprint and the quality of printing.
But it the contents that differentiate a newspaper form its competitor. Saakshi is primarily targeting Eenadu and Andhra yothi. The paper has not come up with any special or exclusive stories. The layout is also a bit confusing and readers are finding it difficult to navigate through the pages. Even the colours are very bold and they are dominating the news completely.
The colours are supposed to complement news and make the page that much more attractive. But it is having the opposite effect. The paper also comes up with an information overload. There is a lot of news that is of use only for a miniscule segment o the readers. As such, many people are simply running through the pages with nothing much of importance to read.
Andhra Jyothi and Eenadu can heave a sigh of relief as Saakshi cannot give much competition to these two papers, at least not in the immediate future.
2011/7/8 15:01:18 Veteran Tollywood and Bollywood actress Sridevi and her husband Boni Kapoor has come to media focus by filing a suit against a leading News Paper in Mumbai, which has published a news content stating- ‘Due to financial problems Boni Kapoor has joined in the job as a media head for a leading electronic media network. Ever since, gossips about the couple spreads like wild fire in the net, with which Sridevi couple have moved the court to order the New Paper Management to pay Rs.50 Crores for tarnishing their reputation.
They have stated that, though they have some financial problems it is not that serious to force them find a job. They quote Amitabh and some others names who were also faced financial problems and later overcome with their own efforts. Sridevi spiting fire on the media has stated, “How can you people guess that, we spent Rs.25 lakhs a month on my beauty care, parties and holidaying?”
Perhaps, they might have decided it is enough for them to come out of their financial problems.

2011/11/9 10:20:02 TRS which owes to swipe-off Congress and TDP from Telangana region seems to be sticks to its promise. Already four MLAs from TDP and three from Congress party have joined TRS party during the recent times. Of late, four more names have surfaced from TDP who are ready to scrap the 'Cycle' and ready to take lift from TRS 'Car' any time from now. Although, the four MLAs Suddala Devayya, Jaipal Yadav, C Ramulu and Hanmanth Shinde are condemning the news and assuring to stick to mother party, media sniffed something fishy in their movements. Most probably, we may hear something interesting in a day or two about these migrations from TDP. If it really happens, then it would be a big blow for TDP. It may create an embarrassing situation for Chandrababu Naidu, who is planning to tour across Telangana districts from tomorrow onwards.
2011/10/4 17:15:09 Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Bandaru Dattatreyya on Tuesday demanded that the state government release a white paper on the current power situation in the state.
Talking to media persons at party office in Nampally, Dattatreyya condemned the state government for its failure to supply adequate power to farmers. He demanded that the state government release all details of both hydel and thermal power generation, purchases from outside the state and the statistics related to demand and supply gap.
Dattatreyya asked as to why the state government did not initiate steps to tide over the power crisis although the employees from the department served strike notice in advance. He challenged Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for a public debate on the power situation in the state.
Responding to a query about stoning of buses allegedly by Telangana activists in Nalgonda district, he said that his party would not support violence at any cost. He appealed to all Telangana activists to continue the agitation in a peaceful manner.
He took serious objection over Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s lukewarm response on Telangana state when the leaders approached him seeking an early decision on issue. As a responsible Prime minister, he should handle the Telangana issue in more responsive manner, he stated. (INN)
2008/3/17 19:03:12 TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu is now very serious about launching a daily newspaper. There was a party organ called ‘Telugu Desam’ some time back. But it was wound up after being run for some time.
Babu now feels the need to have a paper of his own as his biter rival YS Rajashekar Reddy’s son is starting ‘Saakshi’. Eenadu is pro-TDP but the relations between Babu and Ramoji Rao are not they used to b when Babu was in power.
Murali Mohan and Chittoor MP Adikesava Naidu are the main promoters. Babu will hold a majority stake in benami names. ABK Prasad has been roped in to edit the paper. The paper has been christened as ‘Aksharam’.
The news about the Telangana MLAs, MP and Ministers resigning to their posts for Telangana cause has widely published in all the news papers and Electronic media. However, some sections of media have also added the list of MLAs, MPs and Ministers who disagree with Telangana Congress leaders’ decision of resigning to their posts.
While, some of them openly declare that, they are not willing to resign to their posts some others have absconding from the Telangana Congress leaders meetings to avoid pressures from the other leaders. The news hungry media has cooked spicy news from these developments and wrote that, many of the Telangana Congress leaders are not interested to resign to their posts and there are differences between them in this regard.
This irritates minister Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy. He warned the media not to publish gobbles about Telangana issue, otherwise they know how to handles the media. He further said “There are very few Telangana leaders who oppose our decision of quitting our posts. You media people and the people very well know who they were. People will teach them a good lesson to such leaders.”
“But, you media people are showing the negative side of the developments and conveniently omitting the positive side. 21 MLAs have agreed to quit their posts in the Friday meeting. Many others also ready to resign to their posts. But, media says we are quarreling with other in this regard and we don’t have unity among us. But, it is not true. Media is intentionally spreading gobbles against Telangana agitations and its leaders. Media should refrain from such practices and should correctly report the matters, otherwise we know how handle you all.”
2008/2/10 2:00:14 This is a big fight between two big Chiranjeevi fans. The two big fans are actually two big Telugu dailies – Andhra Jyothi and Surya. Both the papers are now falling over one another to cover news about Chiranjeevi.
Andhra Jyothi was pro-TDP and a bitter critic of chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy. Before that, Andhra Jyothi had run some highly critical stories on Babu and YS was very happy. But the paper ended up finally by rubbing both of them the wrong way.
The news of Chiranjeevi planning to enter politics came as a bon to Andhra Jyothi. The paper started devoting a lot of space for stories on Chiranjeevi. It is no exaggeration to say that not even a single day has passed without Andhra Jyothi giving at least a few stories on Chranjeevi.
The newly started daily 'Surya' also started backing Chiru in a big way. The paper wanted to project a neutral stance Vis a Vis the congress and the TDP and Chiranjeevi was like a god sent opportunity to it.
It has now become a sort of competition between these two dailies to outdo each other in covering Chiranjeevi.
In their fight to hype up Chiranjeevi, the two dailies are fighting for the honor of becoming the number one fan of Chiranjeevi. This has left poor Satti Babu, the biggest self-proclaimed number one fan of Chiranjeevi, a distant third.
2011/10/13 14:42:44 The Telugu Desam Party on Thursday demanded that the State Government release a White Paper on the health conditions across the State.
Talking to reporters at the Telugu Desam Legislature Party, senior MLA Gali Muddukrishnamma Naidu alleged that this year, over 500 people died due to malarial and viral fever across the State. They include 120 deaths due to dengue fever.
Gali said that despite such alarming statistics of deaths, the government has not taken any measures to prevent the spread of such diseases in the State. He said even the Ministers and the Health Department is silent over the outbreak of malaria, dengue and other viral diseases.
Demanding that the government release a White Paper on the health conditions including the details of availability of medicines, doctors and other facilities, he said that the more people would be affected if the government fails to take immediate steps.
The TDP MLA said that in many Telangana hospitals there are no doctors, nurses or even medicines apparently due to the general strike. He accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of being negligent on the issue. He said that even 108 and 104 ambulances are not carrying the patients to hospitals beyond the assigned number of daily trips.
Gali also slammed Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for ignoring the subject of public health. He said although Azad has been visiting Andhra Pradesh for political events, he never enquired about the health-related issues with the officials. He demanded that the Chief Minister hold an emergency meeting to review the impact of diseases.
Regarding Telangana agitation, Gali reiterated that all Seemandhra leaders were in favour of a united State. (INN)

We are planning to release the film with 32 prints on April 30. Dialogues are by Praveen Chakravarthy, while editing is by Ramarao.
Namaste Telangana launched, aimed to counter distorted T image says KCR
2011/6/6 19:20:04 Stating that it would truly be a ‘people’s newspaper’ to counter the ‘pro-Andhra media’, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday launched a new Telugu Daily, ‘Namaste Telangana at the Ravindra Bharati in the presence of media luminaries.
KCR told the gathering that the new daily is aimed to effectively counter the ‘distorted’ image of Telangana being presented by the existing newspapers in the state.
He also promised that a new Urdu Daily, Adaab Telangana would be launched on August 2 this year, the first day of the Holy Month of Ramzan. “Telugu and Urdu are the only Telangana languages and that is why there is a need to bring out an Urdu Daily for the people who speak that language,” KCR stated.
“Colonial Capitalists are misinterpreting the history of Telangana through their media. There is more to Telangana than the infamous Razakars. We aim to counter this distorted version through the newspaper,” KCR said.
“Namaste Telangana would give equal priority to the issues of Dalits and Minorities living in the Telangana region apart from the separate statehood agitation,” he said.
The TRS chief also ‘advised’ the editorial board of the new daily to mould it to become a ‘truly people’s newspaper.’
The main edition of the new daily was released by Eshwaramma, the mother of Srikanth Chary who had immolated himself over the separate statehood demand at LB Nagar, while the features edition was launched by P Mallaiah who had cornered Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu to make his stand on Telangana clear at Warangal.
The Sunday Magazine of the newspaper was launched by the widow of constable Krishnaiah who had committed suicide for Telangana.
Speaking on the occasion, Telangana Political Join Action Committee convenor Kodandaram pointed out that there were different angles to the news story carried by the three main Telugu dailies on the No- Confidence Motion issue recently.
“These differences reveal the status of the media in the state today,” Prof Kodandaram said and added that the new daily would take a balanced approach and highlight the sentiments of the Telangana people.
Telangana ideologue Jayashanker lashed out at the existing media by alleging that information was being misinterpreted and facts concealed during the past five decades.
“The newspapers have resorted to negative publicity on Telangana agitation and the media barons have poisoned the minds of the Seemandhra people against their Telangana counterparts,” Mr Jayashankar charged.
“Distorted stories that the fertile deltas of Krishna and Godavari would turn into deserts if Telangana was separate is such example of the poisoning of the Seemandhra people’s minds,” he said.
“The existing newspapers have failed to highlight the insults subjected to the Telanganaites,” Mr Jayashankar alleged and added that the new daily would be able to do justice to the people of the region.
Namasthe Telangana Editor Allam Narayana said that the daily would counter the sustained neglect of the state’s culture, traditions and festivals.
Negative stories like the destruction of statues on Tank Bund during Million March have shown that the entire Telangana as a criminal society, Mr Narayana claimed, while pointing out that ‘cultural destruction of the region during the past 50 years was neglected.
Mr Narayana denied that the new daily would be relegated to being a mouthpiece of KCR and the TRS. “This is propaganda by the ‘anti-Telangana forces,’ he said, adding that this was an attempt to finish off the daily in its nascent stages itself.
The talk doing the rounds in some media circles is about Chiranjeevi’s next move. According to some unconfirmed news reports, Chiranjeevi is said to be toying with the idea of having his own Telugu daily newspaper.
Starting a new daily is a long and cumbersome process. So Chiranjeevi is said to be eyeing the recently launched Telugu daily ‘Surya’. The paper is owned by N Suryaprakasa Rao. He has interests in real estate and films. The paper is not doing as well as expected and with the launch of Jagan’s Saakshi, the circulation of Surya is likely to go down further.
Suryaprakasa Rao is said to be eying some suitable buyers for some time. If Chiranjeevi wants, then Surya paper will be his on a platter. Suryaprakasa Rao also has self interest in this. If Chiranjeevi launches his party and contests the elections, he may give a ticket to Surayaprakasa Rao and even make him a minister.
