The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has formally launched its 24x7 spiritual channel ‘Bhakthi’ on Ugadhi day. The test signal of the channel was switched on by Rangaramanuja Swamy (Pedda Jeeyar) at Tirumala yesterday. The Bhakthi channel will telecast all important sevas at the temple as well as spiritual discourses and programmes. The aim of the TTD is to spread awareness about Indian tradition, identify and spread the rich Hindu culture across the globe. Hindus across the globe will now have access to the various activities being undertaken at Tirumala and also watch them from the comforts of their home.

Governor N D Tiwari launched the Bhakthi TV channel and chief minister Y S Rajashekar Reddy launched the NTV news channel.
2007/9/7 4:05:10 A new 24-hour news channel, TV was launched on 6th September. Not on air, but in the movie Chandamama. In what is seen as a promotional advertisement for the channel, hero Navdeep is shown as a reporter working for TV5. And he is shown doing a reality show for the channel. The channel was due to hit the waves long back but it has not yet been launched. The work on the channel began last year and everything is in place. Even then the channel has not been launched so far.
The TTD is coming out with a 24x7 Bhakthi channel. TTD chairman T Karunakar Reddy inaugurated the office of SV channel on Wednesday.
The office is situated on the Alipiri bypass road in Tirupathi. According to Karunakar Reddy, the TTD will start five channels in five different languages and la the channels will air devotional and bkathi programmes.
2011/2/24 11:16:31 Janasri, the Kannada news channel from politicians and miners Reddy Brothers of Bellary, is finally ready for launch and will make its debut on February 18, 2011. The date was confirmed by officials at the TV channel.
It may be recalled that in June 2010, another Kannada news channel, Samaya 24x7, was launched. The channel had long been awaiting launch and is the brainchild of industrialist and politician Satish Jarakihole.
Some of the other players in the Kannada news domain include TV9, Sun TV’s Udaya Varthegalu and Suvarna 24x7.
In a coup of sorts, a new channel ‘Kalaignar TV has bought the world satellite rights for ‘Sivaji’ with Rajanikanth in the lead. The new TV channel is being launched by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. The channel is likely to go on air shortly. The channel named ‘Kalaignar TV’ is the outcome pf a spat between the Karunanidhi family and the Maran brothers.
It is reliably learnt that the deal was concluded a couple of days ago. A record sum running into several crores have been paid for securing right for the movie. The film is likely to be aired on the channel on the inaugural day which has been fixed as August 15. The channel is being set up in association with Raj TV.

The channel is another welcome addition to the already crowded news channels market. B R Naidu is the promoter of this new channel. This time it is Dasari Narayana Rao who is floating a new channel. The channel - DTV is likely to be launched next year and work on the channel will start with puja on Dasara.
Dasari is also planning to revive the daily newspaper Udayam. The title is now with the Magunta family but Dasari is trying to get it back. It is believed that a number of industrialists, particularly from the mining industry and the Mittals are financing the ventures.

D.Ramanaidu has inaugurated the ‘MAA Movies’ Channel and Akkineni Nageswara Rao has launched ‘MAA Junior’ Channel.
The Tiruamala Tirupathi Devastanam is now in an advanced stage of brining out the 24-hour devotional channel titled Sapthagiri. The TTD proposed to start this channel some time back and work is now underway to start the channel at the earliest.
The TTD will telecast some of the sevas at the temple live on the channel. The channel will also feature devotional programmes, bhajans and religious discourses.
2011/6/25 3:57:30 So far, we have number of entertainment channels in regional languages but don’t have a regional channel that is dedicated to dubbed movies. The leading Entertainment Channel UTV is soon launching a Telugu channel especially to air the Hollywood movies dubbed into Telugu. This new channel is named as ‘UTV Action Telugu.’ This channel will air 250 Hollywood movies an year in the first year and it will be gradually increased every year. This new channel may start its operations before end of August this year.
Chief Minister YS Rajashekar Reddy fromally lauched the TTD’s 90.4 FM channel during a visit to Tirumala. The FM channel will work in association with the TTD Dharma Prachar Parishad and the vedic University.
The FM channel will currently be available over a 5km radius around Tirumala.
Prince Mahesh Babu is reportedly teaming up with Ashwini Dutt to venture into setting up a TV channel. While Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi own a share in MAA TV they are not involved in the day to day operations of the channel.
However, the new channel by Mahesh Babu is likely to be different. The media talk says that he is looking to buy out an existing channel. However, there is no word of confirmation either from Mahesh Babu or Ashwini Dutt.
Megastar Chiranjeevi wanted to launch a channel to promote his Praja Rajyam party. The idea did not materialize. Now Chiranjeevi is in the congress party and everyone assumed that the TV channel idea has been shelved.
We now understand that Chiranjeevi is working on the idea and will apply for permission soon. Ram Charan will be on board of the channel while Chiranjeevi will be the chairman.
The actor tuned politician Chiranjeevi, who is planning to act in his 150th movie soon, seems has long term plans to achieve his political goal of becoming Chief Minister of the state. Some time ago, we heard about his plans to launch a news channel to boast and boost his political activities. But, it didn’t take shape until now.
The latest buzz is, his news channel is all set to be aired in a couple of months, or even before. It is learnt that all the necessary formalities has been completed and currently he is finalizing his team of editorial board for this channel. His news channel name would be ‘S News.’ Chiranjeevi’s new found associates Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Thota Chandrashekar will be his partners in this new venture.
Once, this channel become operational it can back-up the entire Mega Compound. So, don’t be surprised if tomorrow you wake up to see a new news channel boasting about Chiranjeevi’s social services, his movies, his honesty in politics and of course about rest of the mega compound.

The congress leaders say that the real aim of Dasari is not to push the congress party ideology thorough his channel but to push his own agenda and increase his clout as a media baron.
Dasari has big ambitions and wants to be known as the sole representative of his community. But there are far too many aspirants and groups within his community.
At best, Dasari can command the loyalty of one group and it would account to about 20 per cent of the people from his community. By launching his own TV channel, Dasari wants to increase his bargaining power among the other groups.
2008/5/17 14:53:23 Is the 24x7 private TV news channel TV9 blackmailing the GMR group. It appears so going by the way the channel has been playing up a story on the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad.
The airport has been built by the GMR group. The TV9 story focused on the poor amenities for passengers at the airport and the woes of passengers in term of parking etc.
The story also threw light on the lax security arrangements at the airport. So far so good. The channel first telecast the story on Wednesday. It repeated the story several times on Wednesday. Many people were surprised to see an old story appearing on the 24 hours 'breaking news' channel for the umpteenth time on day two.
But the biggest surprise was that the same story was telecast once again on day three i.e. Friday. People who watched the story on all three days were seen murmuring as to what could be the motive of TV9 in repeating the same story day after day. Are they trying to extract something from GMR?
